Plantpro & Sons have become a leading company in the building and upgrading of walking tracks throughout the North Island, NZ.
We have developed team skills, physical resources and business systems, that enable us to successfully complete challenging and diverse projects.
Recent projects, including the upgraded Parihaka Tracks and the new Mackesy Tracks in Whangarei have showed how we go about reforming tracks and constructing step sets and boardwalks. These projects can involve specific Kauri Dieback Prevention hygiene protocols relating to material supply and work implementation. Within some of these contracts we are also contracted to provide design and build elements which can mean surveying and constructing tracks in difficult access areas.
These track upgrades involve bark and gravel placement and compaction, installation of Geoweb products, box steps, boardwalks, the use of helicopter transport and mobile carriers.
Over the last six years Plantpro have completed trackworks contracts for regional councils and the Department of Conservation in many different parts of the country, including on the Great Barrier Island, Waihi, Puketi Forest in Waipapa and most recently in the Waitakere Ranges in West Auckland.
We have also completed track works on private client jobs, including a stunning track in Waipu Cove, which leads from the client’s property down to a beautiful water hole and then up the other side to an off-the-grid retreat in the beautiful NZ native bush.
